1. Targeted Intervention Project for Female Sex Workers (Gurgaon):
Natural Care implemented this project to reach 800 female sex workers (FSWs) in Gurgaon, raising awareness about HIV/AIDS through one-on-one and group interactions, promoting condom use, providing STI/STD treatment, and facilitating HIV testing.
The project also established four Samwad centers offering counseling, non-formal education, adult education, vocational training, and micro-credit opportunities to FSWs' children and families.
Key achievements include:
951 HRGs registered.
2203 HRGs counseled.
779 HRGs tested for HIV.
2 linked with ART.
2. Targeted Intervention Project-Composite (Faridkot, Punjab):
This project targeted 500 FSWs, 100 MSM, and 100 IDUs in Faridkot, Punjab, providing behavior change communication, condom promotion, needle and syringe exchange, abscess prevention and management, STI treatment, and HIV testing and counseling.
Significant results include:
535 FSWs, 99 MSM, and 87 IDUs registered.
402 FSWs, 78 MSM, and 66 IDUs tested for HIV.
5 FSWs, 2 MSMs, and 3 IDUs found positive and linked with ART.
183,405 condoms distributed.
3. Targeted Intervention Project-MSM (North Delhi):
This project aimed to prevent HIV/AIDS transmission among MSMs in North Delhi. It included peer education, networking, STI management, condom promotion, community mobilization, and staff capacity building.
Achievements include:
835 HRGs registered.
2656 HRGs received clinical services.
504 HRGs screened for Syphilis.
557 HRGs tested for HIV.
1 found positive and linked with ART.
93,335 condoms distributed.
4. Targeted Intervention Project-IDUs (Ghaziabad):
Implemented for 400 IDUs in Ghaziabad, this project provided clinical services, abscess treatment, HIV testing, needle and syringe exchange, and community mobilization.
Outcomes include:
356 IDUs registered.
340 received clinical services.
204 tested for HIV.
7 found positive and 5 linked with ART.
69,514 needles and 35,762 syringes distributed.
1. TB Awareness Project:
Natural Care partnered with Mamta and CHAI to support the Revised National Tuberculosis Control Program (RNTCP) in Gurgaon and Faridkot, Punjab.
Activities included community outreach, media events, and TB/HIV testing.
156 community meetings were held, reaching 4674 individuals.
528 individuals were tested for TB and HIV, with 25 linked to treatment.
2. Polio Immunization Campaign:
Natural Care collaborated with the district administration to vaccinate children in Mewat and Gurgaon slums.
Approximately 1000 children in Mewat and 370 in Gurgaon received polio drops.
3. Reproductive Child Health Project (Faridkot, Punjab):
This project aims to improve the health of pregnant women, children under 6, and adolescent girls in Faridkot slums.
Activities include household surveys, encouraging ANC visits, tetanus injections, and family planning methods, and promoting male participation.
4. WATSAN Activities (Health and Hygiene Project):
This project focuses on sanitation and hygiene awareness. Activities include celebrating Global Handwashing Day, conducting educational sessions, and promoting proper handwashing techniques.
