Though the system of Panchayat is rooted in our culture, and being a man dominated and hierarchical group, they never delivered justice to women, Mahila Panchayat program is a campaign which talks about women rights and security. The goal of the program is to provide effective redressal mechanism within the community to protect right of every women in the state. It is a dream of every citizen of this country that one day there would not be any domestic violence against a woman in the society
· To build up the capacity of grassroots women to deal with day-to-day domestic violence in the family
· To become aware about their rights and get justice without fear and panic
· To equip with knowledge and information so that they could fight strongly against the society particularly male dominated
· To provide a forum for solving their conflicts and family disputes within the society

Atrocity with woman at home is a serious concern in the society. Mahila Panchayat Program protects the rights of woman.
Delhi Commission for Women is an autonomous state govt. body and shouldering responsibility of legal support to women suffering from any domestic violence or family dispute. In the year 2001, the commission started its first threshold venture in association with a group of grassroots level NGOs and CBOs in Delhi. We dream of an India where every child goes to school or is provided with decent alternative education and also provided with health care and nutrition.
Alternative Education provides basic education for children through regular interaction until they can be enrolled in regular schools based on age .Through a mixture of lectures and activities (Activity Based Learning) ,Natural’s Care helps to stimulate their interest in education and paves the way for future interest in learning .

Health Projects
1.Targeted Intervention Project-IDUs at Ghaziabad, supported by Uttar Pradesh State AIDS Control Society, Government of U.P
NATURAL’S CARE is implementing a comprehensive HIV/AIDS programme among the Injecting Drug Users to reduce their risk of HIV infection in district Ghaziabad since year 2013.
In Year 2021-22 Out of 600 target of working with IDUs , Naturals Care is working with 971 numbers of active HRGs .
The main strategies that will be adopted to achieve the above objectives are:
· Communication/ Education for behaviour change.
· Needle and Syringe Exchange Programme, Oral Substitution Therapy, Detoxification
· Condom availability and promotion.
· Peer led community outreach with support from outreach workers.
· Quality health services for abscess and wound management & STI Treatment.
· Advocacy & Networking
· Fostering Enabling Environment and ensuring ownership of the community of the program.
Capacity building.
(a) Communication/education for behaviour change
The objectives of the BCC in this project is to bring down the risk perception by covering 100% of IDU in project area through needle/syringe exchange program and ensure need based Opioid substitution therapy (OST) to IDUs of the project area.
Correct and consistent condom usage in all the non procreative sexual encounters by all the IDU with high risk sexual practice is also one of the main objective of the program .
Group education : IEC camp at DASNA Jail , Ghaziabad :
Group education relies on the notion that IDUs form social networks, which can have a positive effect on their capacity to maintain safer behaviours. Women whose partners inject drugs also benefit from group sessions as these provide opportunities to learn from and be motivated by each other. Using the group education technique offers several benefits:
The sharing of information within the group, thus respecting the knowledge, experience and skills IDUs and their sexual partner/s already have
Acknowledging that IDUs and their sexual partner/s are an extraordinarily diverse group requiring education in a range of formats and styles
Provides information in a way that enables users to pass it on
Shares power between IDUs and their sexual partner/s, rather than a formal programme which places some IDUs in a position of authority and knowledge over other users.
Women who have partners who inject drugs can reduce their own risk through a process of empowerment and negotiation skill building
As the mass media is the main source of general information on HIV AIDS for many IDUs and their sexual partners, NATURAL’S CARE has used Mid Media as a strong instrument for providing information to the targeted audience. Regular events like Celebration of World AIDS Day , Women’s Day , Hepatitis Day , World De-Addiction Day , Needle & Syringe Collection weeks and many activities at DIC level as well as Hot spot level have been organized to create awareness among the general population and targate audience.
Counselling
Counselling sessions will be regularly carried out to assess their risk behaviour, mental status, problem identification and finally assisting them to take informed decisions about their future course of action. During such sessions privacy and confidentiality would be maintained. The counselling can be individual or family counselling. Repeat or follow-up counselling would also be done to reinforce information and to support and maintain behaviour change.\
(a) Needle and Syringe Exchange Programme,
The target population were provided safe needle and syringes as part of the project in order to promote safe injecting practices. This in turn is help in reducing the incidences of new infection among the IDU population.
In year 2021-22 Though whole country is facing Covid-19 pandemic . With the efforts of TI staff almost 88 % IDUs were covered under NSEP and 65 % were the return rate of Needle & syringes .
© Condom Availability and Promotion.
Under this project nearly 14198 free condoms were distributed with the total coverage of 89%
Availability / Affordability / Accessibility of condoms: - In order to ensure the availability, affordability and accessibility of condoms on any hour of the day at any point of need, the project will have the following strategies
(i) Condom Outlet mapping: - The traditional and non-traditional outlets in the area has been mapped with the help of the outreach workers. The condom movement, preferred brands, peak hours of condom demand, issues related to condom supply etc will be explored and a condom marketing strategy friendly to the IDU of the project area will be developed
(ii) Development of non-traditional outlets: - Based on the peak hours of condom demand, the potential non-traditional outlets would be set up.
(iv) Condom education and using skills: - Correct & consistent use of condom is an important component of this intervention. In order to ensure this, the project staff used to do field level condom demonstrations facilitated by the outreach workers & peer educators.
(D) Peer led community outreach with support from outreach workers.
Peer led community outreach would be an important component of our targeted intervention among IDU. Outreach work will help us in identifying good and committed peer educators from community who can promote the intervention. Peer educators would be easily accessible to the target group, be able to influence the majority of his/her peers and show concern for the health of his/her peers. By training ‘peer educators’, HIV interventions can provide an accessible and accurate source of safer sexual health information, with links to services, in the heart of the community. The specific needs of the target community will be identified, preferably through needs assessment studies in the project sites.
Peer educators would facilitate in changing the behaviour of sex workers and increase the possibility of sustained behaviour change. Sensitive message can only be passed on to target communities without stigma through a respected peer. Peer educators will be trained on the basic facts of STIs and HIV/AIDS to enhance their capacity. These peer educators would in turn motivate and train HRGs to adopt safer health and sexual practices, enhance condom negotiation skills and seek appropriate treatment for STIs.
Regular meetings of these peer educators will held with outreach workers. Daily outreach activities will be undertaken during which outreach workers and peer educators will conduct one to one and one to group sessions with IDU. Follow up BCC sessions will be done for reinforcement of messages and sustained behavior change. BCC materials will be distributed during these sessions. Educational efforts would include one –to-one interaction, discussion at the group level, and meeting with the target community.
(E) Quality health services for abscess and wound management & STI Treatment.
Through BCC demand generation for STI clinics will be initiated. The STI care in the project has been provided through a competent system of project based clinical service (static clinic) and referrals to the government and private health care facilities in the state.
In year 2021-22 Naturals Care IDU TI provided Regular Medical Check up to its 87% HRGs through Static clinic out of them 8 IDUs have STI . All were treated at MMG Hospital .
Nearly 70 % HRGs were tested for HIV and out of them 01 were found reactive in the month of March 22 . Who was later linked with ART in the month of April 22 . All PLHIV were linked with ART center. Nearly 68 % IDUs were also tested for syphilis at MMG Hospital.
(F) Advocacy & Networking
Awards and Appreciations: The Organization has received Appreciation Award from Honorable Governor of Uttar Pradesh for excellent work in the Field of T.B. and HIV prevention in District Ghaziabad Oct 2021.
(G) Enabling Environment
Creating enabling environment is the other component of the project. The need for enabling environment is to ensure support and involvement of different civil groups and the other functional partners of the IDU. The groups have to take part in the program while the IDU are coming to the job / premises with these structures. Through creating an enabling environment the project could think of mobilizing resources to make the program more effective and stakeholder friendly, making innovations in strategies with the help of more partners etc.
Under this component Naturals Care has formed the SANKALP Group of IDUs Families and providing Free Education to the Children and adolescents of IDUs families to up lift their status and mobilize the community members to motivate the IDUs to up take the prevention , Care and support services
Staff Capacity Building
Naturals Care is providing the orientation training and refresher training to all its newly selected team members in their respective functional areas. Time to time the Training has been also given on project specific deliverables with the help of local available resource persons from ART , OST and other health care facilities at the district level.

The innovative practice has been tried and tested in number of other projects run successfully by Natural’s Care. Samwad Centre has proved to be an effective tool in communicating with the targeted community.
Requiring a paradigm shift in our approach to life, SAMWAD provides a platform to arrive at a shared vision towards managing Target Intervention services along with other government schemes and services related to socio-economic development of the targeted community.
We want our outreach activities to perform well and while doing this, we all want to create environment for community so that they can take their decisions by themselves in stress-free environment and that all the stake holders will be benefitted by the project activities.
Hence, there is a need to re-engineer our way of working. SAMWAD is nothing but a holistic approach to facilitating our outreach team to achieve this.
It is nonbudgeted innovative integrated approach with in frame work of Target Intervention to reach out the community and deliver the services to the end users.
