Natural’s care- is a Non-Government organization aiming to improve socio-economic status of poor and underprivileged especially youth, women and children through rights based approach. Through its various interventions the organisation constantly strives to bring about an equitable and sustainable change in the lives of young people in India. In addition to women empowerment and child development programs. Natural’s Care has a significant focus on HIV prevention care and support programs , working in the context of poverty and addressing gender and right issues is a common mandate with in all areas of work.
Established in 2002, Natural’s care presently has interventions located in 5 states in India (Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh).
Its Head quarters are located in Delhi with state offices in Delhi, Ghaziabad, Bathinda, Faridkot and Ujjain. Natural’s care thankful to its all partners and volunteers across the country to make its interventions successful.

Child Rights:
A child has rights ,but due to age constraints is unable to claim her/his rights. The rights of a child are exercised by proxy through the family ,society and state .Unfortunately ,these very agencies are responsible for violating children’s rights. Non-government organizations ,therefore play a vital role in protecting and promoting the rights of children.
Childline1098 Project ,Faridkot (Punjab):
CHILDLINE constantly intervenes to ensure children their rights. Childline has been given special mention under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protect of Children) Act 2000. Under the Act ,Child Line is empowered to produce a child in need care and protection before the Child Welfare Committee.
CHILDLINE is a National, 24-hour, emergency toll free phone service for Children in need of care and protection. Any child or concerned adult can dial1098 to access this service. It is a project of the Ministry of Women and child Development, Government of India (GOI). Currently CHILDLINE is operational in 220 cities across the Nation and responds to more than 3 million calls in a year. CHILDLINE India Foundation (CIF) is the national nodal organization appointed by GOI for initiating and monitoring of CHILDLINEs across India. CHILDLINE is an integral part of the newly launched Integrated Child Protection Schemes (ICPS) BY Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India under 11th Five year Plan
Since August 2012 Natural’s Care is working as collaborative partner of CLF at district Faridkot.

Awareness Activities:
To Popularize CHILDLINE 1098 number in Faridkot, Natural’s care is organizing various modes of activities in the area.
In the month of August 2012 Natural’s care has organized three awareness camps in schools named Golden Public School Dogar Basti,Vishwakarma Public School Dogar Basti and MGM Sr. Secondary School near Ram bagh and covered more than 450 children. In the camps children and teachers were informed about CHILDLINE1098, its functioning and how Children and related persons can avail this services.
In the month of September 2012 Natural’s care had organized two camps in schools named S.D. public school, Jogiya wali Basti, Government Primary School Phuhara Chowk and covered 300 children. In the month Awareness camps in Jot ram Basti, Jhuggi Basti in Guru Tej Bahadur nagar and Sanjay Nagar were also organized.
In the month of October 2012 awareness camp held in kameyan chowk, bholu wala road, jiwan nagar, guraan wala mohalla, nearest villages and city Kotkapura, Dist- Faridkot, jogiyan wali basti, sanjay nagar, bholu wala road, talwandi road, Jarman colony etc and others areas mentioned above activity plan.
Total number of participants from October 2012 to March 2013 : 5261
Awareness stall at Bus stand and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park were also installed for a day to make the people aware about CHILDLINE 1098.
Natural’s Care also popularized the CHILDLINE1098 number through MID MEDIA mode by hiring a mobile van equipped with mike system.
Strengthen child friendly/related infrastructure and network
Formation of the CAB (Child line Advisory Board):
Under the chairmanship of worthy D.C. Faridkot Mr. Ravi Bhagat the first CAB meeting of CHILDLINE Faridkot was held at Ashok Hall of Mini Secretariat.
Being Member was coordinated by Mrs. Shinderpal Kaur, CDPO Faridkot. Dr P.K. Khare Project Director, Childline faridkot was also present in the meeting.
It was the first meeting of CAB hence the embers were informed about the CHILDLINE 1098, its services and working. The boards members were also informed about the importance of CAB and its role and responsibilities.
Candle March : Ab Aur Nhi a campaign against Sexual Abuse :
Candle March procession was organized by the childline Faridkot on 16th may 2013 at Clock Tower chowk, Faridkot. This procession was organized to tribute of sexually abused children. S.S.P. Gurmeet Singh Randhawa was invited as chief Guest to flag off the march.Total staff of childline like as Govind Makhava Jha (Coordinator), Bhinder pal kaur, Sonia Rani, Surinderpal Sodhi, Vijay Kumar, Dimple, Kulwinder kaur, Monika(All Team members), and Subhash chand(Vol.), presented with Dr. P.K. Khare (Project Director, Childline), Deputy D.E.O. Dharamveer singh, D.S.P. Jaswinder pal Sharma, Dr. Deepak Goyal (Chairman CWC), SHO Narinder singh, Social Worker Praveen kala, social worker ashok Bhatnagar, Rajkamal Gupta (Coordinator Rakha Krishan Dham) along with the representatives of elder club, lion club, National youth walfare club, Bharat Vikas Parishad, National youth club, Rotary club, Bhavadas, Bhole Baba kawar sandh, Seer, Jain sabha, Bharti sewa sansthan, muslim welfare society.Brahman sabha, Balaji welfare society,Hundreds of students from baba banda singh bahadur and dashmesh dental college with teachers were presented in the candle march procession along with other respected persons of the town
Childline1098 Project ,Faridkot (Punjab):
CHILDLINE 1098 is a 24*7 toll free emergency service for children in need of care and protection. Any child/concerned adult on behalf of the child can dial 1098 to avail of emergency assistance. CHILDLINE is a civil-society- government partnership under the aegis of Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD), Government of India, CHILDLINE India Foundation (CIF) is the umbrella organization for the CHILDLINE 1098 service in India. The CHILDLINE 1098 service has been recognized as a critical child protection mechanism in the country. It receives a special mention in the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection) Act, 2016. CHILDLINE has been included as an integral component in a continuum of services of the child protection system in India, in the Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS), launched in 2009.
Vision: A child-friendly nation that guarantees the rights and protection of children.
Mission: CHILDLINE will reach out to every child in need and ensure their rights and protection through 4 Cs i.e., Connect, Catalyze, Collaborate and Communicate.
Objective: To create consciousness and awareness about child protection and to ensure a well-defined and practiced reporting mechanism for child protection violations and the time bound redressal system.
CHILDLINE intervention with children include face to face counseling, restoration of children to their homes, referral to other organizations for shelter, education, vocational training, accessing health care services, etc. the vision of CHILDLINE is to create a child-friendly nation that guarantees the rights and protection of all children. CHILDLINE deals with the missing/lost children, abused children, children in need of medical assistance and all children in need of care and protection.
A new CHILDLINE Centre has been set up in the city of Bathinda on 23rd March, 2016. In the past three months, CHILDLINE Bathinda has organized various outreach sessions in the slum areas of Bathinda city. Many people appreciated our initiative to help the children in need. CHILDLINE Bathinda has organized some training session to train the team members to work efficiently. CHILDLINE Bathinda has also celebrated some of the international days in the past 3 months.
Activities
Resource Mapping- Resource Mapping is the process to map all the important and concerned areas. The CHILDLINE Bathinda team has marked slum areas, police posts, hospitals, bus stand, schools, colleges, markets etc. as the important regions.
2. International Yoga Day- Awareness campaign was organized by the CHILDLINE Bathinda team in the Rose Garden on 21st June, 2016. We have also aware Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Union Cabinet Minister of Food Processing who was present there for the celebration on the International Yoga Day, about CHILDLINE 1098.
3. International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking- CHILDLINE Bathinda has organized a rally on Internation Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking in Janta Nagar on 26th June, 2016.
4. Outreach- CHILDLINE Bathinda team go for the outreach activities daily to create awareness among people about 1098. The main motive of outreach activities is to make people aware of our toll free number 1098 and motivate them to use this number to help a child.
5. Staff Meetings- we conduct staff meeting on weekly basis to improve ourselves. Staff meeting helps us to perform our work in a more creative way to involve more and more people and children with us
Networking and Advocacy
1. Meeting with CWC and DCPO- CHILDLINE had conducted a meeting with CWC Chairman and DCPO to aware them about our new CHILDLINE Bathinda. At the meeting, we explained the functioning areas of CHILDLINE and the procedure of intervening in any case.
2. Meeting with Railway Officials- CHILDLINE Bathinda has organized a meeting with railway superintendent, RPF and GRPF senior staff members. The primary agenda of the meeting was to create awareness amongst the railway line department and involve them in the supporting department of CHILDLINE. The meeting was concluded with the agreement of the railway line department to help us in every manner.
3. Meeting with General Manager cum Traffic Manager and other junior and senior staff members of Bus Stand Bathinda- CHILDLINE Bathinda team has organized a meeting with General Manager cum Traffic Manager and other junior and senior staff members of Bus Stand Bathinda to create awareness about CHILDLINE 1098 amongst them. During the meeting, the process of CHILDLINE and the different sections of children involved in the process are also explained. The General Manager said that he will talk to his senior regarding putting the hoarding and sticking of pamphlets in the bus stand area and in the buses also. Hence, the meeting concluded with the promise of advertising CHILDLINE 1098 more and more.
Capacity Building
1. In-house Training- A three day training session was organized by CHILDLINE Bathinda as prescribed in the guidelines of CHILDLINE India Foundation. The session was organized from 30th May to 1st June, 2016. The session was taken by the Mr. Jestin, City In charge of CHILDLINE Bathinda. He conducts the training session on the process of CHILDLINE. In the 3 day session, he also explains the documentation part which is required to maintain. Hence, the motive of this training session was to improve the knowledge portion of the team members of CHILDLINE Bathinda.
2. Training on Child Rights- A training session was organized by CHILDLINE Bathinda on Child Rights on 25th June 2016. It was organized to enhance the knowledge about different child rights among the CHILDLINE staff members. Himanshu Sir and Kanika Mam have taken the session. In the session, Himanshu Sir talked about various child rights. They also explain the structure of CWC and DCPU. During the session, he also explained Juvenile Justice Act, 2016. Then Kanika mam explained the safety network of a child. Thus, the primary agenda of the session was to raise the knowledge of team members regarding child rights and the structure of CWC and DCPU.
Challenges Faced:
1. Permanent Shelter- In Bathinda city, there is no permanent shelter home for children. There is only one government temporary shelter home, which is only for boys. There is no shelter home for girls in Bathinda.
2. Awareness among Police- Bathinda police are not very much aware about CHILDLINE and their functioning.
3. Phone Testing- During phone testing, people hesitate to give their number to us for phone testing. They believe if they give us the number, they will end up in any sort of difficulty. Sometimes people do not believe in us.
4. Phone Network- There are some network connectivity issues. For eg., if we connect 1098 from BSNL network, the call gets connected to Women Helpline.
5. Various Statements- During the case intervention, people make different statements every time we counsel them. It produces a confusion for the counselor to conclude with the end result of the counselling session.
Stakeholders
In order for CHILDLINE to achieve its objectives it is dependent on a complex network of relationships that involve NGOs, government, donors, volunteers, communities, households, vendors, contractors, suppliers and the public. With the help of these stakeholders, CHILDLINE will be able to make a child friendly society. Every person who helps us in order to help the children in need of care and protection are our stakeholders.
Women Empowerment
Gender Resource Centre and WE project ( Since August 2016):
Gender Resource Centre- Suvidha Kendra, also popularly known as Stree Shakti- Suvidha Kendra has been awarded to Natural’s Care in the month of May 2011.
We at GRC-SK are operating arms of the Government to reach out to that section of the marginalized in Delhi who remain excluded and unidentified even in the BPL category, and include them in the mainstreaming society. Since women form the nucleus of the society, it is envisaged that by reaching out to them, the family and the community will be embraced in the inclusive development.
The GRC-SKs are thus community level structures that act as the direct interface between the vulnerable groups and the Government by making the latter accessible, open and transparent and the former aware, enlightened and empowered. It is envisaged that though these community based structures, we can come closer to the realization of the Delhi Development Goals, drawn up on the lines of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) for poverty alleviation and inclusive growth.

· Non Formal Education for Out of school children and adults.
· Legal Aid through Legal counseling and Awareness camps.
· Health Care activity through regular OPD and Health Camps.

· Help Desk to facilitate women to avail government schemes.

Project Awaaz Uthao : A project for Women safety
Department of women and child development, Govt. of NCT of Delhi has assigned the implementing part of the project “Awaaz Uthao” to Samajik Suvidha Sangam. It started through GRCs. Naturals Care was recommended for implementing this project in September 2013. As per the guidelines for implementing the project, four Women’s collectives and one stake holder Committee has been formed in the catchment area of SSSK.
GOAL
· Coordinate all activities related to enhancement of women’s safety and implementation of program.
· Women’s Collective formed at grassroots level shall support the women in distress including situations of sexual harassment/assault and rape.
· The Collective would not only support the victim but also work on the preventive measure for the crime of such nature.
Objectives
· Identify and analyse key community safety issues
· Develop strategies to address identified community safety problems
· Develop a Community Safety Plan to inform local police action plans (as well as other participating agencies' plans)
· Promote co-coordinated action by local agencies and organizations to influence community safety
· Provide a forum for existing community groups or organisations to refer community safety issues for consideration and appropriate action
· Monitor and seek to positively influence public perceptions of community safety.
Action Plan
· To Organize Collective group meetings to be organized by the Women’s Collective groups .
· To Organize two Safety Walks at cluster level
· To done Safety Audits of safety parameters in the allotted cluster
· To organize bi-monthly Stake holder committee meeting to discuss issues women safety issues and get solution for them.
· Installation of Wall Magazines to update women safety related issues at community level
· To organize two Public Meetings( Mega Event for advocacy and networking) in a year.
Target and achievements:-

Separate desk of “Awaaz Uthao” is set up at GRC to make the project visible and to provide support to the women and girls in distress.
· Total, 125 community meetings have been conducted with women’s collectives.
· 6 meetings have been conducted with stakeholders committees.
· 1 public meeting has been conducted to sensitize about Community members. Public meetings are followed by rallies and ends with the pledge to end violence against women at public places.
· 20 Safety audits are conducted.
· 18 Safety walks are organized regularly to make the presence of collectives (as watch groups) visible in the area.
· 4 Quarterly wall magazines are displayed at 10 identified corners of community to interact and initiate open dialogue with the community on the issues.
Mahila Panchayat Project : Hauz Rani , Malviya Nagar
Though the system of Panchayat is rooted in our culture, and being a man dominated and hierarchical group, they never delivered justice to women, Mahila Panchayat program is a campaign which talks about women rights and security. The goal of the program is to provide effective redressal mechanism within the community to protect right of every women in the state. It is a dream of every citizen of this country that one day there would not be any domestic violence against a woman in the society
To build up the capacity of grassroots women to deal with day-to-day domestic violence in the family
To become aware about their rights and get justice without fear and panic
To equip with knowledge and information so that they could fight strongly against the society particularly male dominated
To provide a forum for solving their conflicts and family disputes within the society
To build up a community level group of volunteers who can assist victims on the spot
Though the achievement of this program is not so high, but it has brought out women from house to ask justice from the society. Consistency of Natural’s Care Mahila Panchayat in Kherki Extension , Hauz rani , Malviya Nagar and near by camps are the evidence of our success for last years. Atrocity with woman at home is a serious concern in the society. Mahila Panchayat Program protects the rights of woman.
Delhi Commission for Women is an autonomous state govt. body and shouldering responsibility of legal support to women suffering from any domestic violence or family dispute. In the year 2001, the commission started its first threshold venture in association with a group of grassroots level NGOs and CBOs in Delhi. In fact that was the beginning of Mahila Panchayat in wide range.
Till 31st March 2018 , Natural’s care team has solved14 cases and organized 09 community meeting at community level to identify the cases and provide the solution with the help of Delhi Legal Service authority volunteers and lawyers.

Celebration of Global Hand Wash Day
On 15th October 2013 Activities done with trade students: Group Discussion, Speech, Quiz, Demonstration (demo of proper hand wash technique with visible germs use of haldi) Games (snack and ladder and tick on high risk factors) Slogan writing and finally Prize distribution.On dated 23/10/13 Activities done with Students in Primary Urdu School Hauz Rani :Gave them a Speech on GHD,Display germs chart, Display of Danger T zone area by T mask, Played game catch and throw by ball and glitter to show them how the germs transferred from one person to another, Demo of proper hand washing technique, explain them importance of Handwashing with soap and only with Water, Poem recitation with showing chart”wash wash wash wash my hands, make them nice and clean, rub rub rub rub the bottom and the tops and fingers in between.”,shapath samaroh, drawing competition , distribution of prize.
Child Education Projects
Though the efforts of the government, there are still millions of children who are not going to schools because of lack of community mobilization. Natural’s care visualize to restore childhood to millions of children deprived of their basic needs .To give them back their childhood in term of care, protection and opportunities for participation and development. We dream of an India where every child goes to school or is provided with decent alternative education and also provided with health care and nutrition.
Alternative Education provides basic education for children through regular interaction until they can be enrolled in regular schools based on age .Through a mixture of lectures and activities (Activity Based Learning) ,Natural’s Care helps to stimulate their interest in education and paves the way for future interest in learning .

4.Child Development Centre for Urban Deprived Children at Bhatinda, Punjab:
Natural’s Care is running the Child Development Centre for urban deprived children at Har Dev Nagar ,Street no.4 since February 2014. Most of the children enrolled in the are either street children or children of migrant workers who had shifted to Bhatinda from Uttar Pradesh long back but still fighting for basic amenities. There is no primary school in nearby area.
Natural’s Care is Recreational centre in this slum area of the approximate population of 1000 households. In this centre we are providing education to these children through activity based learning and also running vocational Training Centre of stitching and tailoring for the girls ,age group of 14-18. Since the inception of the center we have registered 34 children of age group of 6- 18 years.
Natural’s care has a plan to enroll these children in National Open School program and main streamed them according their age group in nearest possible school in coming future.
Community Awareness SAMWAD Centre
Natural’s Care has established a community awareness centre at Ujjain Madhya Pradesh with the objective to aware the community about issues related to Environment , Swachch Bharat , Health and Education in the Month of March 2019.
on 8th March 2019 Natural’s Care celebrated “International Women Day” at the center and organized General Health check -up Camp for the community.
1.Targeted Intervention Project-IDUs at Ghaziabad, supported by Uttar Pradesh State AIDS Control Society, Government of U.P
Since August 2013 Natural’s care is implementing TI project at Ghaziabad City for 400 IDUs.
In year 2013-14 Natural’s care has registered 356 IDUs ,out of them 340 have provided clinical services and 59 reported for abscess treatment. Out of 356 204 tested for HIV and 7 found positive .
5 positive HRGs were linked with ART.69514 needles and 35762 syringes were distributed to HRGs under NSEP progam.
1034 was the total footfall for the clinic and 212 HRGs participated in Hotspot and DIC meeting during the year.
In year 2018-19 Natural’s care has registered 670 IDUs ,out of them 2126 episodes provided clinical services and 23 reported for abscess treatment. 623 IDUs tested for HIV and 5 found positive this year and out of them 5 IDUs likened with ART centre.
.99793 needles and 244139 syringes were distributed to HRGs under NSEP program that was nearly 80% of the total demand and 42% needles and syringes were returned by HRGs. 1226 was the total footfall for the clinic and 1364 was the HRGs foot fall in Hotspots and 1862 was DIC meeting foot fall during the year. 220 IDUs participated in community event and 114 in Health camps organized by Natural’s care.
T.B. Awareness Project:
Axshay Project: Civil Society Initiative in strengthening TB Care and control in India. This is the particular project ,which began in 2009 ,aims at Supporting Revised National Tuberculosis Control Program (RNTCP) to expand its reach ,visibility and effectiveness ,and to engage community –based providers to improve TB services ,especially for women ,children ,marginalized ,vulnerable and TB-HIV co-infected populations by 2015.
Under this program Natural’s care is working as field NGO with Mamtaat district Gurgaon and with CHAI at district Faridkot,Punjab since July 2012.
In Ghaziabad , Naturals Care have worked with The UNION to implement Axshaya Samwad project to contact active case finding
· In year 2018-19 we have conducted and covered total 4978 House hold for Axshaya Samwad
· Natural’s care has also organized 15 Mid Media events in both districts
· 528 persons were tested for TB and HIV also and 25 found reactive, were linked with DOT also.
